Playa Del Rio Campground
The Playa del Rio campground sits on the Old River in Perdido Key, Florida about one-half mile from the Alabama border. If you walk across the road at the entrance to the campground you have walking access to the beach and the Gulf.

While exploring the outer rim of lower Michigan we discovered that a former co-worker, Bill Slivinski and his wife Carol, were vacationing in Ossineke where their cabin was on the beach.

The Sturgeon Lighthouse
This striking lighthouse at Sturgeon Point, Michigan can be toured and we were fortunate enough to visit on a day when the information guide was an elderly gentleman whose parents were lighthouse keepers and so he had a great amount of knowledge of lighthouses in general.

The Sturgeon Lighhouse
The Sturgeon Lighthouse viewed from the jetty. The lighthouse was first used in 1870 and is still active.
