South Padre Island
To be honest, I was disappointed by South Padre Island. I found the beaches dirty and filled with trash, the waters of the Gulf were brown and cloudy and the stores and restaurants were overpriced.

We spent two months at the Tropic Winds RV Resort in Harlingen, TX. The campground was wonderful, the constant winds were not.

We were fortunate enough to visit Big Bend National Park after they had received an early winter rain so the wild flowers were the best they had been in ten years according to the park rangers.
