Homosassa Wildlife Park
If you'd like to see manatees and other animals, birds and fish native to the Florida area, then a visit to the Homosassa Wildlife Park will be a treat. These flamingoes were so vividly pink in the sun.

Manatees eat carrots
The Homosassa Wildlife Park rehabilitates manatees that have been injured by boats and contacts with humans. The park rangers give excellent talks every day and you can also view the manatees from an underwater viewing area.

Sunset at Perdido Key
The Playa del Rio sits on the Old River in Perdido Key, FL near Gulf Shores, AL. Across the road on the other side is the Gulf of Mexico, so we had the best of both worlds.

Looking downstream from Chewlaca Falls
We were the only campers in the park when we walked the 1/4 mile to Chewlaca Falls so we had the falls all to ourselves.

The Lake at Chewlaca State Park
Since we were the only ones here in May, I have no idea of what type of fish there might be in the lake, but it's a beautiful location. May 1999
